Nowadays, everyone is used to going to airports. It’s not grand anymore like it used to.
For me, going to an airport is a fun thing to do since I love traveling (with airplane, yes!), and actually I kinda realise that I have gone to quite many airports. So, now, I want to share you which airport that I’ve been ‘visited’:
Indonesia:
1. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport
Located in Tangerang, it is the busiest airport in Indonesia. Despite the location, people know it as Jakarta airport. The airport has 3 terminals. 2 of the terminals (terminal 1 and terminal 2) are designed with the characteristic of Indonesia (unique and really fascinating), while the terminal 3 has modern feel. I always transit in this airport when I use airplane from city to city, like from Bandar Lampung to Semarang, because we don’t have the direct flight to both cities.
2. Radin Inten II Airport
This airport is located in South Lampung. The airport is kinda small but is busy, and most airplane company that serve flight in this airport serve like 6 times flight a day! The name is from the hero of Lampung, Radin Inten II.
3. Ahmad Yani International Airport
Actually, I never thought that I will go to this airport often :p This airport is located in Semarang, the city that I live now and it’s quite small and busy. The airport itself is located near the city so you expect often traffic jam near the area.
4. Ngurah Rai International Airport
This airport is in Bali, the famous island of Indonesia. I travelled to Bali on December 2013 with my family with airplane so I got to visit this airport. When I visited it, it was still in renovation, but I think it’s done and it has a lot modern feel after renovation. Still, the Bali touch is here and there.
5. Polonia Airport
Okay, I know I’m old school, but at that time, Polonia airport is the airport of North Sumatera. For you who don’t know, now, people use Kuala Namu International Airport instead of this airport. I visited it on 2008 when I joined the regional Yamaha piano competition.
6. Halim Perdanakusuma Airport
This airport is the other airport located in East Jakarta. It serve small number of commercial flights and mainly use as private airport, so you can see many small plane or even private jet here. I visited this airport back in 2014 because I used Citilink and they stop at this airport instead SHIA.
7. Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport
The story behind visiting this airport continued from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, because I used Citilink to travel to Palembang. It is located in Palembang, and it’s big and modern.
8. Supadio Airport
Supadio airport is located in Pontianak. I’m quite excited to realise that I have step my feet on the Kalimantan land, and this airport is the first step of it :D It was for traveling that I visited it and I think it is quite similar with Ahmad Yani airport.
9. Adisucipto International Airport
Well, not that I flew and arrived in this airport, but at that time (2014) my friends and I used TransJogja, and the route allowed us to visit the airport briefly. I’m not sure about the interior, but the exterior is quite common with a large parking lot.
10. Husein Sastranegara International Airport
This airport is located in Bandung. I visited this airport for having holiday in Bali. I think the airport is not that popular, because Bandung and Jakarta is only 2 hours of driving and maybe many people in Bandung use SHIA a lot (it serve various flights though.)
International:
11. Kuching International Airport
When I went home to Indonesia from a brief traveling in Kuching, I visited this airport. The airport is spacious and modern, and actually I’m surprised.
12. Kuala Lumpur International Airport
I visited KLIA for transiting from Kuching Airport to Indonesia. It is really, like really, big and thank goodness that that was 4 hours transit, because with that much time, we need to be in rush to go to one section to another.
The number is quite okay, but I hope that in the future, I can add more list and more photos.
Wait for the future update!
